I've just purchased the Photoshop CS tutorial. I haven't finished it yet, but I have to say that so far it is marvelous! I love how he demonstrates several different ways of accomplishing a function, including the keyboard shortcuts, and explains the meaning of the action and what it does, how to use it. This simplicity and clarity is exactly what I needed.

The Photoshop CS tutorial is already well worth the $50, and I'm only about half-way through it! This tutorial makes me feel like I'm beginning to master the program itself. It really makes you comfortable with the tools and methods of Photoshop, and the instructor is very good at explaining the route(s) to accomplishing the task at hand. For some reason, perhaps the way this is laid out, I'm able to remember everything that I'm doing, the techniques. For example, even though I was half-asleep when I went through the painting shadows part of the tut, I can go to PS right now and put shadows around anything.

I feel that after viewing this PS CS tutorial one more time, just to "tie it all up," I will have the comprehensive knowledge and proficiency I need to do anything I'll ever need to do with it.

This has to be the best Photoshop tutorial I have ever taken. I have tried a variety of online tutorials and I have also invested in the "dummies" books and they don't compare to this course. The tutorials are clear and accurate. They are easy to follow and well thought out. The class is structured in the best way possible; simple to complex concepts. They don't bowl you over with a bunch of complex jargon right away. They really know how to answer questions before they're asked. I don't know how other people do it, but when I take a course, I always ask my self some questions:
"what if I do it this way?"
"Are there other ways to do this?"
"When should I use this?"
etc.
For almost every question I asked myself, the videos have an answer. Its like someone is right there with you, holding your hand. If a class does that, that's when you know that the developers took time to understand their audience; something a lot of computer and software classes don't do. This is just a masterpiece and I hope they come out with an advanced version.
